Rev. Terry Kee from the Christian community was appointed as the new President at the IRO Annual General Meeting held on 21 August 2022.
Rev. Terry has been a life member of IRO and was nominated as an IRO Council Member since 2012. A firm believer that one can be friends in spite of differences as well as working together for common good, Rev. Terry has been involved in Interfaith work since he was President of the National Council of Churches.
As the President for IRO for the office term 2021-2022, he plans to moderate internal conversations among the older generation with shared memories of past conflicts and contributions of IRO in promoting peace with the new generations who sees possibilities for IRO to harness new opportunities to impact and influence towards a cohesive society. He also hope to develop conversation starters that can be used to promote religious harmony among students.
