SYNOPSIS
The Harmony of Faiths Singapore Talks is a series of interactive get-together focused on knowledge building and sharing about the multi-religions in Singapore. The talks aim to educate the general public in Singapore about the commonalities and differences in the practice of religions.
In the second session, speakers from the Hindu, Jewish, Taoist, Christian and Muslim religion will share about wedding rituals and ceremonies in their respective religions. They will discuss the commonalities and differences between their religious customs.
Participants will gain an opportunity to learn:
- Significance of wedding ceremony in each religion
- The unique rituals in weddings observed by each religion
- Elements of weddings happening in places of worship such as temple, mosque, church etc.
The participants will also have an opportunity to listen to personal experiences of weddings observing religious practices.
